Club Meetings

All Club meetings are held in the closed Dining Room of the Lakemba Services Memorial Club, 26 Quigg Street (corner The Boulevarde) Lakemba.  There is ample parking available in the club's own off street car park.  Directions to our meeting room can be sought from the front reception desk.  During meetings, announcements are made with regards to fishing trips, other planned club activities, fishing reports and general news.  Meetings also allow members the opportunity to ask questions of each other and the committee.  From time to time, guest speakers are invited to present to members on a range of topics covering fly fishing and other "special" interest subjects.

At each meeting when time allows, a "fly of the month" is tied by one of our "in-house" experts, usually representing a seasonal pattern.  Flies are tied using the latest in material and technique.

Committee Meetings

Committee meetings are where the management team make decisions and plan future club activities.  Whilst the committee are the only ones authorised under the Club's charter to make decisions, ordinary members are more than welcome to sit in and listen to discussions.  Members are also welcome and encouraged to submit ideas to the committee regarding future activities.

Note: The Lakeside Fly fishing Club meets within the licensed premises of the Lakemba Services Memorial Club.  As a result, conduct and all other general requirements set out within the charter of the Lakemba Services Memorial Club apply to all Lakeside Members and their guests at all times. Usual Club Rules for dress code apply at all times
